Kicking off the festivities, the Vallejo Mile Run that will take place at 9:30 a.m. Participants will have the opportunity to run the parade route through the City ending at the Waterfront. The 162nd Annual Vallejo July 4 Parade, “Stars and Stripes Forever!”, will begin at 10:00 A.M. The parade will travel its traditional route starting at the intersection of Broadway and Tennessee Streets, and then turn left down Sonoma Boulevard and right onto Georgia Street through downtown. The parade will be followed by the 2nd Annual Red, White, and Blues Groove Festival presented by Earl’s Texas Bar-B-Q, OZCAT Radio 89.5 FM, and Mad Hatter. The festival takes place at the Waterfront from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the Vallejo Fireworks Spectacular at 9:15 p.m.
