Richard Abbot

Richard is the founder and operator of Signworks Sign Company and Vallejo Graphics. Beginning in the 1980s as an old-school sign painter (with brush, paint and boards), he has evolved his business and community involvement over the decades into a large format sign, special event and mural printing business, with a side career in Neuro Learning, piano instruction, and personal development.  Member of Red Mens, Alibi Artist Way & the Usual Suspects. 

He moved to the Vallejo Downtown from Contra Costa in 2020, seeking to help create the ‘City of the Future’ - building living solutions that meet the 21st century challenges we all face. Vallejo does provide all the ingredients. Much assembly is required. 

Our downtown, and our city - this year - now - is a civic laboratory within which to create group and public Functionality, as a new experience for most of us. This is achieved, Richard believes, by following Critical Paths. This means that if we do a few of the right, critical things together, as well as we can, we can generate major good results (functionality). If we do not, another year will pass by without much-needed results .
